Modern haute cuisine in a traditional house
The Hotel Detmolder Hof is a traditional house with history. Jan Diekjobst and his own restaurant have brought a breath of fresh air to the historic walls. The building is one of the jewels of the time-honoured residential town of Detmold. The imposing quarry stone building was built in 1560 and is still considered a real pearl of the Weser Renaissance.

In 2008, the listed building was completely renovated by the Strate brewery family. Under the direction of the renowned Berlin designer Anna Maria Jagdfeld, who has left her mark on the Hotel Adlon and Grand Hotel Heiligendamm, among others, the hotel was redesigned with great attention to detail. The result is 13 luxuriously furnished double rooms and suites in the Detmolder Hof.
But not only the guests are pampered. Since March 2019, Jan Diekjobst has been the tenant, manager and chef at Detmolder Hof. At the beginning of the following year, he very tastefully remodelled Jan's restaurant. When designing the dining area, the YOUMA CASUAL chair made its way in a custom-covered version. The sumptuous, soft upholstery embraces guests and ensures long-lasting seating comfort with award-winning enjoyment.
At the latest since he won the TV show »Mein Lokal, dein Lokal« in October 2020, Jan Diekjobst has been known far beyond East Westphalia. Jan's restaurant is considered the top address in town.
