Bad Bentheim is not one of those places that pushes itself into the foreground. People come for the castle, for the sulphur springs, or simply to gain a few hours’ distance from everyday life. Anni am Kurpark follows precisely this attitude. Anni am Kurpark is a high-quality buffet restaurant in the historic Kurhaus dating back to 1850. A dark green ceiling, a striking floral carpet and translucent fabrics used as room dividers and as coverings for the historic chandeliers shape the atmosphere.
This interplay of activity and calm continues in the interior. The concept planning and interior selection were developed by David Wendland in close collaboration with the operator Holger Bösch. The furniture by KFF picks up on this idea and translates it into a variety of seating situations. With ALVARO, MAVERICK, GAIA, LUNAR and GAIA LINE, the result is not a homogeneous image, but an interplay of clearly distinct elements.
ALVARO immediately catches the eye: the elliptical backrest, the precisely shaped seat shell, the distinctive silhouette. A chair that is noticeably comfortable without visually pushing itself to the fore. MAVERICK is more reduced, almost austere. It gives the room structure while remaining restrained. GAIA and GAIA LINE introduce softer lines. Their form feels open and inviting, almost self-evident in a space that is constantly in motion. Transitions emerge without breaks, and the seating landscape remains permeable. LUNAR holds the whole composition together. Calm, clear, present, without demanding attention.
In this way, the principle of the buffet continues throughout the room: different places for different moments. Stay briefly, move on, return. The ensemble is complemented by tables from KFF’s sister brand ASCO. Cross and Cross round bring constructive clarity to the space. Their cross-shaped bases are distinctive without appearing heavy. Especially in an environment defined by movement, they provide stability without prescribing a fixed arrangement. They structure without constricting, creating the foundation for what happens here: a relaxed, steady coming, going and enjoying — entirely without unrest.
