Design highlights in a historic setting: H.O.M.E. D.E.P.O.T. 2025 in Vienna
Together with Designgalerie Wien and wertstücke^ Möbelagentur, we celebrated the start of Interior Spring in Vienna! This year marked the 25th anniversary of H.O.M.E. D.E.P.O.T. with an exclusive pre-opening event - Austria's leading interior and design fair presented itself in a fresh, new edition at an extraordinary venue: the magnificent Palais Festetics.
The palace, built in 1858 in the New Viennese Renaissance style by Johann Julius Romano and August Schwendenwein for Eugénie Countess Festetics von Tolna, has an eventful history. In 1897, the k.k. From 1898 to 1916, the building was used by the Imperial and Royal Export Academy. Export Academy used the building before it was remodelled in 1961 and became the seat of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce until 2019. The palace then changed hands several times. Since 15 May 2024, it has been in interim artistic use for 18 months, curated by Benjamin Sagan and "Node Contemporary". H.O.M.E. D.E.P.O.T. 2025 also took place in this unique setting.
Together with Kettnaker, we designed the largest room on the Beletage in Palais Festetics and used the impressive space to perfectly showcase our design highlights. While our partner Kettnaker impressed with the variety and quality of its sideboards and chests of drawers - above all with the new SOMA MEDIA TV sideboard - we presented the GAIA DIVANO LOUNGE and the GAIA DIVANO LOUNGE PICCOLO in a narrower version. The Tercio model from our partner company ASCO, with its drop-shaped table top, also harmonised perfectly with our popular GAIA in various versions of the AZZURRO-CREMA-VERDE furnishing line with fabrics from JAB Anstoetz. In addition, the minimalist ICON by designer Daniel Stegen in combination with the Gaia round by Monica Armani, the elegant CADO LOUNGE, the award-winning Lamello by ASCO and the versatile Modul plus were also very popular.
Three sunny days lie behind us, during which we welcomed numerous visitors to our joint stand with ASCO and Kettnaker on the Beletage of Palais Festetics. The numerous registered guests of H.O.M.E. D.E.P.O.T. were consistently enthusiastic and took the opportunity to experience our furniture up close. The opportunity to view the GAIA DIVANO LOUNGE and other new products directly in Vienna instead of having to make long journeys to Cologne or Milan was particularly appreciated - a clear advantage for many specialist retailers.
All in all, this event was characterised by exciting discussions, inspiring encounters and a palpable enthusiasm for design. We are already looking forward to the 26th edition with great anticipation!
