Sauvage Leathercollection

Sauvage is a European semi-aniline cowhide. The leather has been given a light layer of colour that protects but does not hide the grain pattern of the animal hide. The high quality Nappasoft mineral tanning creates a grained cowhide with a light finish and a very pleasant soft feel. The quality and structure of the hides are retained during the finishing process. On casually upholstered furniture, the softness of the leather comes into its own particularly well and underlines the homely casual look.

General natural features

Warts

Warts are pathological changes of the skin. Most often they cause a circular change in the grain.

Rough spots

Rough spots are damage to the scar layer in a demarcated area of a skin. They are caused by chafing of the animal or by adhering manure, which chemically attacks the skin. Rough spots can affect not only the appearance but also the haptic properties.

Scarring

Scars are caused by mechanical injuries to the skin, which are healed by the animal. In addition to the dimensions and the bulge, the shape must be taken into account. Scars must always be at least fused, i.e. closed.

Neck grooves and mast wrinkles

Wrinkles in the skin that appear in the area of the neck or abdomen. In particular, the length and the expression determine how the areas of the dermis can be used.

Insect bites

Insect bites cause small holes in the skin. These can be noticed in particular if they occur in clusters in one place.
